This is a place you may have never even heard of, yet it’s a great day trip from Fort Worth. A botanical gardens oasis regally displayed over 35 acres of hand crafted architecture. Ponds stocked with colorful creatures of the friendly verity. Ducks, Frogs and fish all seem comfortable residing in this organic, somewhat hidden destination. There are fountains, acres of flowers and buildings that have plants, flowers and shrubbery whom collectively shroud the walls with color creating a multi layered dimension of nature composing living art. Pathways serpentine through out to introduce guest to gazebos that are water front and most sporting a map on the wall for the wayward adventurer. There is a charge for entering the park and if you go on a weekend you will most likely see crews setting up for weddings. This is Texas so you may want to watch the calendar for the best day to daytrip, meaning too keep in mind the weather because you will be outside and the heat index can make the day somewhat uncomfortable. Yet, for the photo minded I will put this fun place gets a five out of five. There is an entire section that dedicated to model trains. Trains running, through trees, over streams, miniature model towns are scattered over a large area that has a Main Rail Way Hub. A time capsule of TV, Video players and large model train stations inside of a building that is was built with detail in mind.
