Day Trip To
City Of Cresson
(Cresson, TX)
In the world of small, I mean really small. Cresson,is a well researched, biography of tiny. A four way stop between Benbrook and Granbury (Texas) on Highway 377 south that also sports another speed bump of a city. One with a wild west moniker: Whiskey Flats. (Whiskey Flats name has been changed to Wheatland… but the old timers will always call it Whisky Flats!) Cresson, a make shift holding station for a few rail road cars and engines, one such RR is the Tarantula. That departs from north side of Fort Worth to Grapevine. (See link for destinations and times).
Cresson does have a hotel, a gas station and roads that walk into the future in a North, West, South and East fashion. Our blog is about day trips. Destinations that can be overtaken by car, photographed and released as was found. I will say there is an antique shop……and little else. A town of 1,666 people as of 2013. We will have more this year, our day tripping has just started for 2016. Join us if you wish, hope to hear from you soon and keep on tripping!
